Vida Nueva Ranch is located on 22 acres in northwestern Washington State. We are about 30 miles south of the Canadian border between Bellingham and Burlington.
On our ranch, we have a pond that attracts many species of critters such as blue heron, bullfrogs, and many kinds of ducks and geese. We also have the occasional coyote, hawks, and bald eagles checking out what kind of meal they might find. Hopefully, that meal will not be any of our ducks or chickens! The wild deer find sanctuary in our fenced yard and enjoy the fruit from our apple and plum trees.
We have two llamas, Yehudi and Jojo, who are companion animals used for packing on day trips and for their beautiful fiber that we use to felt, spin, and make into useful items. The wild birds also find it great for lining their nests in the birdhouses that we provide for them.
In addition, we have seven white-faced Herefords. They are, as the Washington State lotto commercial says, "Officially pets"! They keep the pastures looking nice so we don't have to do much mowing.

"Riley"
Introducing Our New Ranch Foreman
Riley arrived at our ranch after being adopted on August 10, 2002 from the Humane Society of Skagit Valley.
He completed six months of extensive ranch foreman training and successfully passed all the qualification tests.
He is a miniature Schnauzer, very friendly, playful and smart and would like to meet you!
